
Lejla Sadiku
Innovation team leader, UNDP
Lejla is the Team Leader for Innovation at UNDP Europe and Central Asia. She works on deploying system transformation frameworks to address complex development challenges - including on urban transformation and digital transformation. Her interests lie in how policy makers can embrace uncertainty and effectively deploy new approaches. She has previously worked on the intersection of data and citizen engagement, focusing on open data and open government. She has also taught at Sciences Po in Paris on public sector innovation. Before UNDP, she worked on Norwegian development assistance and with the World Bank. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and has completed her bachelor studies at the American University in Bulgaria in political science and business administration. She is from Prishtina, and currently lives in Istanbul.
