Minister of Economic Development of Kosovo*
Valdrin Lluka is an executive and entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience in private sector development, leadership and managerial consultancy. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota (Carlson School of Management) and Economist from the American University in Bulgaria.
During his professional experience, Lluka has demonstrated the ability to develop, implement and manage innovative promotional activities for attracting foreign direct investment in Kosovo* and promoting local products abroad through the Kosovo* Investment and Enterprise Support Agency (KIESA) , a government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, where he served for 4 years in the capacity of the Chief Executive Officer.
Lluka has led the National Council of Economic Zones, appointed by the Cabinet of the Government of Kosovo* and served in several boards for economic development, inside and outside Kosovo*. He has extensive brand-building experience at company and state level, and good analytical, communicative, presentation and organizational skills, mainly gained through various trainings and projects in managerial consultancy in Kosovo* and the US.
Lluka has recently led several projects in the production of fresh and processed products, employing over 200 workers and exporting 100% of production to European Union markets. Moreover, Lluka teaches Entrepreneurship at “Universum” College in Prishtina, combining his experience with the latest entrepreneurship knowledge from contemporary literature.
He has also volunteered as co-leader of the Kosovo* Education Fund (KAEF) fund, dedicated to Kosovo’s long-term economic development through educating citizens at the best US universities in the Master.
