Matt Jacobs is the Digital Coordinator for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. He has recently focused on how to foster resiliencies in a digital landscape defined by disinformation and communal fracturing – an effort that has required building bridges between public- and private sector thought leaders. Matt founded and spearheads the European Digital Diplomacy Exchange, a collaborative and intergovernmental network of digital diplomacy practitioners committed to increasing the members’ collective capacities to implement strategic digital communications. He has organized multiple international conferences through which he has trained over 400 European communicators. Matt holds an MA in International Development from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University. He is a Boren Scholar.
